Centre Rallies - Monday, September 7, 2020

Centre Rallies - Latest update - October 18th 2020

We have been informed by Club that rallies may recommence from 7th August 2020 provided a substantial set of rules can be adhered to. These include the requirement for the Rally Officers to submit a "Covid-19 risk assessment" seven working days prior to the event for Club approval, the provision of "sanitisation stations", a sanitisation procedure for water taps and elsan points, and the requirement for the Rally Officers to "demonstrate that adequate steps have been taken to oversee the safety of those present at the event and minimise the risk of transmission of the virus." There are also many restrictions on what can, and cannot, occur during the Rally. There are to be no Social functions and no "Flag" proceedings.

The Committee fully accept that these requirements may be too onerous for many of our volunteer Rally Officers and will fully support any Rally Officers who decide to cancel their rallies.

Cancellations to date:

"Fire & Freeze" at Berwick St James
"SW Region AGM" at Westbury
"Christmas Shopping" at Tredegar

The Upper Thames Centre have cancelled both the "Christmas Cracker" and the "New Year" rallies

The SW Region AGM Rally at Westbury has been cancelled.

Any Rally Officers who feel unable to run their proposed rallies are requested to contact the Rally Secretary.

All Centre Competitions for 2020 will not take place, but will be "held over" to 2021.

Copies of both the "Covid-19 Secure Guidance" and the "Risk Assessment" forms can be viewed/downloaded from

AGM 2020 - Friday, August 14, 2020

Deferment of AGM 2020 to 9th January 2021

The secretary has e-mailed all Centre members (using the email address registered with CAMC) with the formal notification of the deferment of the AGM

If you have not received this email, and you believe you should have, please

1) Check the "spam" or "junk" folder of your email client (many ISPs treat anything from a "secretary" as spam)

2) Check the email details registered with CAMC (please note that due to the Data Protection Act 2018 the secretary cannot make any changes for you, only you have the access required)

At present about 2% of emails are being "bounced" as unknown addresses.

The text of the email can be viewed either at the "AGM 2020" link on the right, or by following this link

AGM 2020

AGM 2020 - Wednesday, August 12, 2020

At tonights virtual Committee meeting it was decided that the 2020 Centre AGM would be deferred until Saturday 9th January 2021, venue and time to be confirmed.

The reasons for this are two fold 1) Present Covid-19 restrictions limit indoor meetings to 30 people 2) The present venue for the October AGM, Corsham School, has indicated it is not willing to host us at this time.

As the regulations regarding Covid-19 continually change, it is hoped that by January we will be in a position where we can hold a "normal" AGM, however the Committee are aware that this may not be possible and are investigating other options, including the use of a "virtual" platform such as "Zoom"

The secretary will be e-mailing all members, at their present registered e-mail address, with details, in the near future.
